Peer Review Process
The selection of articles published in the Journal of Accounting and Management (JoAM) is based on a double-blind peer-review process, which evaluates two primary factors: the relevance of the manuscript and its contribution to the theoretical and practical advancement of accounting and management. This review method is implemented to guarantee an impartial and fair evaluation of submissions.
Author(s) Should Note the Following Points:
- The submission is only processed online via JoAM's Online Journal System.
- All submitted manuscripts are initially read by the Editor-in-Chief of JoAM for desk evaluation (Points 2 and 3). At this stage, the manuscript will be checked for compliance with JoAM's author guidelines and submission template, as well as for relevance to JoAM's current focus and scope. If appropriate, the manuscript will proceed to the next stage. Otherwise, it will be rejected so that the author may submit it to another journal. Please note that manuscripts not following the template will be automatically rejected.
- The plagiarism tolerance level is 35%. If it exceeds this threshold, the manuscript will be automatically rejected.
- If the manuscript meets the criteria in Points 2 and 3, the editor will conduct a review, which will take approximately 2–3 weeks.
- If the editor's review is successful, the manuscript will be forwarded to reviewers for peer review, which will take approximately 3–4 weeks.
- In accordance with the principle of blind peer review, reviewers will not be informed of the authors' identities in order to avoid bias.
